Hello there Grandpa, Nice to see you on the bottle again.
I just wanted to tell you that I think you would be proud of us.
I look at your old photos a lot. I am often struck by the places you went WAY before it was convenient. I see you here in Hawaii, back in the day when you had to take a twin-engine plane all the way there. Pretty Cool. A
This year we have been trying to take the kids on more adventures. As they grow up I can see the scales start to tip from FAMILY to Friends… Its been kind of tough for me but it makes me think about you a lot. When my own father had to be tough on me, you were always extra nice. A scoop of ice cream, going to lunch together during the summers and celebrating life’s victories. I see my dad doing that with my kids, and they love him for it. They want to call their grandparents when they get A’s on report cards, or are in a play or game… It is pretty special. When we moved up here when Brielle was born, I said to Heather, I want my kids to grow up next to their grandparents.
It seemed to keep me on the narrow path knowing that if I screwed up, it wouldn't just be my folks disappointed, it would be my Grandparents too.
I am happy to tell you that its all working according to plan - so far -
I wanted to thank you for giving me the Thumbs up on my wife on our 2nd date. For telling me to buy the worst house on the best street and to make sure you have a renter. For showing me that you don’t need a new truck when the one you have runs just fine. For taking a lot of photos, and showing me how. For being the guy you were. MY Kids know who you were and what you believed in. We live it every day. Maybe even the Best Version.
You have become a Legend in our family.
I hope I can live up to it with my grandkids…
Maybe they will even put me on a bottle one day.

This wine was sold out before it was even picked. Our Mourvedre. The tough grape that dosen’t give the love easily, it has to be earned. 
Always the last grape to be picked, its almost like it wants everything else to be taken care of before it takes its turn. Rich and bruting. 

Dad.
There is no one like Dad. Dad is his own man. 
This bottle of wine is labeled Proprietary.  A proprietary wine is a bottle of wine that is crafted by us just for us. 
There is no other wine in the world just like this wine. Not only is it a One in a Million, it the only one that ever has been. It would be impossible for us to create this exact wine ever again. It is a dark, brooding red that has a touch of sweetness. Mourvedré is a Major component in its creation. However, we added just a bit of beauty that brightened it up just a touch. 
Just like Dad, it may be a bit intimidating, but if you look just a bit deeper, you will find a teddy bear with a heart of gold. Nothing is just like your DAD. Your DAD is yours. 
I love my DAD; he has always been there for me. He has never let me down, not one time. Sometimes it isn't as fast as I would like, or even how I would like him to, but he is always there. Maybe your experience is different, maybe you are, or maybe married to someone that is trying to be the best DAD they can. This wine is for them, and for you. 
Once you cozy up to it, you will be in Love. 
DAD is one of the greatest wines we have ever made. Full Stop.
