About this conversation

LOSOLIVOSCA.COM A little town. A big parade. And a whole lot of heart.

Once a year, the streets of Los Olivos fill with neighbors, families, old friends, tractors, music, laughter, and the kind of small-town traditions that remind us why we love where we live.

It's Los Olivos Day in the Country.

This week on Chopping It Up with Keith Saarloos, we're celebrating one of the Santa Ynez Valley's most beloved traditions and the people who make it happen.

Because a town isn't just a collection of buildings.

It's the people who built it.
The businesses that keep the lights on.
The families who have been here for generations.
The newcomers who decided to call it home.
And the volunteers who show up year after year, simply because they care.

There's something beautiful about a place that still shuts down Main Street to throw a parade.

No velvet ropes. No fancy invitations.

Just a little town throwing a party for everybody.

Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Come spend the day with us in Los Olivos.

Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring somebody who has never been.

Because these little traditions don't survive by accident.

They survive because we show up.

That's what Day in the Country is all about.

Chopping It Up with Keith Saarloos — Real conversations. Real people. Right here in the Santa Ynez Valley.
