« DON’T FORGET ABOUT MOM »
SHE DESERVES THIS…
HERE IS THE LIST WHY.
I Mean She Only Made You In Her Belly, AND Gave You Life
AND…
Built your entire body from scratch using her own.
Shared her food with you before you were even born
Didn’t sleep for months
Learned your cry language like it was Morse code
Held you when nothing else worked
Cleaned you… constantly
Fed you… constantly
Changed diapers that should have been illegal
Took you to the doctor for everything
Knew when something was wrong before anyone else did
Put your needs before hers… every single day
Carried you everywhere before you could walk
Taught you how to walk… then chased you when you ran
Packed your lunches
Wrote your name on everything you owned
Sat through games you barely played in
Sat through performances you forgot your lines in
Cheered like you were the MVP anyway
Drove you everywhere
Waited in parking lots
Helped with homework she didn’t understand
Finished your Project after you fell asleep and got you an A
Pretended your art belonged in a museum
Told you that you were smart, even when grades said otherwise
Put up with your phases
Your attitude
Your “I know everything” stage
Your “don’t talk to me” stage
Your “I’ll call you later” stage (you didn’t)
Still answered every call
Still checked in
Still worried
Still prayed for you
Still believed in you
Celebrated your wins like they were hers
Felt your losses like they were hers
Defended you when you rooms you weren’t in
Bragged about you to strangers
And yeah…
All she got for that last year was probably a text.
SHE DESERVES THIS…

CERTIFIED MAMAS BOYS
MAMA’S BOYS
My Brother and I are Notorious Mama’s Boys.
There is an extraordinary reason for that.
Our Mother Gave us the greatest gift any mother can give their child.
She Let Us Be: Who We Were Meant To Be.
She loved us unconditionally.
She Loved us when she shouldn't have.
But She always did.
She shaped us.
She let us fight.
When we were throwing each other around the house,
She would just tell us to “go fight outside.”
She went to EVERY game.. Every Practice.
She Fed us well.
She Let us fail.
She hugged us.
She Let us cry.
She was our CORNERMAN.
We would walk out into the world and try to beat it.
When we got home,
Eyes swollen, Nose Bleeding, Lips Cut.
From trying to take on everything that the world would throw at us.
We would hear the bell each night.
We would walk over to our corner.
She would doctor us back to health and send us right back out there.
Mom was and is the Toughest Person I have ever met.
My Brother would say the same.
She is pure grit with a smile.
When the world would try to break us,
She would shrug it off and tell us,
“Don’t listen to them. They don’t know.”
And she would double down on us.
She would stoke that little fire in us everyone else was trying to douse.
We were taught to be respectful, kind, and courteous.
To treat others how we would like to be treated.
But, if we were competing,
We were allowed,
NO.
We were encouraged.
To be an absolute ANIMAL.
Competition was fear in our household.
No one gave an inch.
In anything.
Not Checkers, Not Cards, Not throwing rocks at a post.
If there was something to compete in
GAME ON.
Mom knew how to raise 2 boys that were Ferrel
Two boys that everyone else would have dropped off at the pound.
She Loved Us.
Unconditionally.
As she said, “No Matter What.”
When we went off into life,
People would ask about us,
Her standard response was,
”No News is Good News”
That is how you make 2 Mamas Boys
2 Boys that turned into Men.
Men who would do ANYTHING for their Mother.
Love them Fiercly,
Love them with the Grit they need.
Love them Unconditionally,
Give them enough rope to get into trouble,
But not so much that you can’t drag them back in.
I love and respect my mother>
She has my Loyalty.
Because She did not break our spirit.
She has been and always will be in our corner.
Cleaning us up and pushing us back into the fight.
That is something Special.
But that is what Linda Saarloos is.
Something Very, Very Special.
Love you Mom.
