CASH’S CRUSH – GOLDEN BOY
2023 Grenache Rosé
Windmill Ranch Vineyard · Ballard Canyon AVA
100% Estate-Grown · Picked by Family · Bottled by Hand
🍷 THE WINE
This is a Grenache Rosé that walks into the room and doesn’t have to say a word. It’s confident without being cocky. Dry, clean, and bright — like a sunrise after a long night. You’ll catch notes of wild strawberries, grapefruit zest, maybe a whisper of white peach if you’re really paying attention. The finish? Crisp, almost electric, but smooth like the kind of compliment that hits just right.
We don’t make this wine for points.
We make it for people.
To drink. To share. To celebrate the now.
Fermented cold to preserve freshness. Pressed with intention.
We don’t call it a Rosé for the sake of it — it’s a Rosé on purpose. Built from the beginning to be clean, expressive, and real.
🌿 THE PLACE
Windmill Ranch Vineyard
Ballard Canyon, Santa Ynez Valley, California
If terroir had a voice, it would sound like this wine.
Windmill Ranch sits in the heart of Ballard Canyon, where the days are long, the nights are cool, and the wind is a constant conversation partner. The Grenache vines that make this Rosé are estate-farmed, meaning we don’t just own the land — we work it. We live on it. Our kids grow up on it. This is our backyard, and we take care of it like it takes care of us.
The soil is a blend of clay and sand, which means you get grip and grace all in the same sip. The elevation gives us structure. The wind gives us elegance. The result is a wine that’s light on its feet but grounded. Just like the kid it’s named after.
👦 THE BOY
Cash Saarloos
The namesake. The reason. The Golden Boy.
We named this wine after our son, Cash. Not because we wanted to flatter him.
But because he earned it.
Cash is that rare kind of young man who says "thank you" and means it. Who holds the door open, even when no one tells him to. Who works alongside you until the job’s done — then asks what’s next. He was born into a family of hard-working, loud-laughing, dirt-covered dreamers. He carries that weight lightly, but with purpose.
He’s part old soul, part new blood.
A walking contradiction in the best way — like a kid from the 1950s who just happens to be growing up in the 2020s.
That’s who this wine is for.
That’s what this wine is about.
💀 THE LOGO
The GOLDEN BOY mark is a banner.
A flag for those who work hard and love harder.
It’s bold. It's bright. It’s a skull with one heart-shaped eye and a smirk that says,
“I’ve seen some things — and I’m still standing.”
It’s not a gimmick. It’s not edgy for the sake of it.
It’s heritage with a little punk rock.
It’s the emblem of a boy becoming a man — with a heart that hasn’t hardened and a spirit that can’t be broken.
You’ll find it stamped in gold foil on the front of the bottle like a badge of honor. It’s a reminder that there’s beauty in the contrast — life and death, sweetness and grit, joy and struggle. This isn’t just a wine. It’s a declaration.
🖤 THE WHY
Why do we make Rosé?
Because life is short.
Because the best stories are told in the afternoon with the cork already on the table.
Because we believe in joy, in sunshine, in laughter so loud it scares the birds.
This Rosé isn’t about being fancy.
It’s about being present.
It’s for the beach, the back porch, the tailgate, the Tuesday night dinner when the kid finally tells you about their day.
It’s for raising a glass to someone you love, even if they’re not in the room.
And most of all — it’s for making memories that last longer than the bottle.

Raise a glass with us.
This is GOLDEN BOY.
IF I HAD MY WAY MY SON’S NAME WOULD HAVE BEEN SUE.
I love my son.
I know a lot of fathers would say that as a knee-jerk reaction, but somehow, I love him differently than that.
He is my favorite person I know.
I think that a part of me loves him because he is the boy I should have been.
My mother has pointed out that he is just like me when I was his age.
A funny pudgy kid with a good heart and a quick with a joke.
Then something happened, and I became, well, me...
My wife points out to me, that her only job is to protect that boy, so that he does not become like me… or at least what i have become. She sees the person inside of me that i strive so hard to become.
my father once said to me, that i remind him of himself so much that i was the Do-Over.
I think Version 3.0 may have an even better chance.
Cash, says, he is the best person on earth to go on a road trip with.
I agree wholeheartedly.
I mean, isn’t that really the goal in life.
To be the world’s best road trip companion.
I honestly don’t know a loftier goal to aspire to.
My wife was right. Cash is a better name than sue.
I’m glad I dint’t give him that awful name.
The world needs CASH.
This kid has it figured out since birth.
