The Solvang Rotary Club presented 10th annual Santa Ynez Valley Beautification Awards to Ron and Julie Palladino, Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, Saarloos and Sons Wine Tasting Room, Mandarin Touch Restaurant and the city of Solvang for Sunny The Solvang Rotary Club gave out its 10th annual Santa Ynez Valley Beautification Awards to five recipients Feb. 16 at the Alisal River Gril

President Dave Wight together with Art Kaslow of the Solvang Rotary Club presented awards to Ron and Julie Palladino for their single-family residence remodel on Elm Avenue in Solvang. The Palladinos previously had received another Beautification Award for a different project.

The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, represented by John Martino, was given a Beautification Award for the commercial remodel of the Hotel Corque and Root 246.

The Saarloos family of Larry, Linda, Keith and Harvey were presented a Beautification Award for remodelling the Saarloos and Sons Wine Tasting Room in Los Olivos. They previously had been awarded a Beautification Award for another property.

Architect David Goldstien represented owner Phil Leo in the Beautification Award given to Solvang’s new Mandarin Touch Restaurant.

Recreation Director Fred Lageman along with Mike Garley and Bob Mendoza accepted Solvang city’s Beautification Award for the completion and upkeep of Sunny Fields Park picnic and barbecue area, athletic fields and playground.

Solvang Rotarians said they are proud to recognize all of the Beautification Award recipients, who were given plaques to display.
