Great Grandma: My Great Grandma Tilly lived a life. She was a tight sweet stout woman. She buried three husbands and a son, John Saarloos. She and raised a gaggle of honery children, survived two world wars, a Great Depression and lived to see her great grandchildren. She drove a white Cadillac, and then an eclectic three wheeled car. She was a survivor and kissed me every time I saw her. I like that the first color photo on our wines is that of a woman born in the 1800's And the wine is from the longest grape we have ever let hang in the vineyard. Great Grandma is a Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc: our first. Everything about this stout and sweet 350ml wine reminds me of her. I think she would get a chuckle out of it all, But her Dutch humility would get the best of her. But I'm sure she would hide one on the shelf and drink it.... when the shades were drawn.
