 Traditions are Wonderfull. It is where you go, what you do, it is comfortable and sparks nostalgia.  Some follow traditions simply because "it is what we have always done".
Every now and then Traditions must be examined.

For Example :

The new bride is making her first big dinner for her husband and tries her hand at her mother's brisket recipe, cutting off the ends of the roast the way her mother always did. Hubby thinks the meat is delicious, but says, "Why do you cut off the ends - That is the best part!"
She answers, "That's the way my mother always made it."

The next week, they go to the old mothers house, and she prepares the famous brisket recipe, again cutting off the ends. The young bride is sure she must be missing some vital information, so she askes her grandma why she cut off the ends. Grandma says, "Dear, that's the only way it would fit in the pan!"

Many wineries make wines in the bordeaux style, the rhone style, the "whatever" style, we do it ourselves... And Why do we do it? We do it because it works. We do it because we have invested two years of time money and effort into creating a wine and we want the best possible advantage to making it as greatest wine can. Thus we follow the path, we play the old standard, we do what is going to work.

But then there are times one must take "The Road Less Traveled." Where we must look tradition square in the eyes and ask the proverbial "why". We must take a risk, we must blaze our own path, we must in a word, BE BOLD.
That is precisely what weThat is precisely what we have here. We blend in three different varietals that are traditionally not paired together. We did so, not to Ape wines a world away, but to express the vineyard we grow.
Here we have a wine in Grandpa's Name that personifies that bold spirit.
and taking the path that will make all the difference.

The Road Not Taken

BY ROBERT FROST

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
