My Father asked me for a FARMERS hat. I had no idea what that meant because every Farmer’s hat I have ever seen is so crusted over with dirt and sweat I usually can’t tell what it once was. ANYHOW, I made my father a hat that reminded me of him. Something that he could wear to the local Grange or on the back of a horse, on a tractor, or really just anywhere.
Little did I know that my father is a Fashion Icon.
He wore it around and told me that he really likes this hat.
I asked him, Really?
He said “Yes. women stop me all the time and ask me where I got it, I am kind of a big deal in this hat ”
Now, I don’t want to give my old man a big head. But when people tell a man he looks good in something he basically goes and staples that outfit together and it becomes the “I look good in this” outfit.
BUT- When someone tells you that you look good in a Hat - Let me tell you - That is how a Farmers Hat so crusted over with dirt and sweat.
One person told them that they “Like that Hat” and BOOM that hat is an everyday staple.
Well my old man was walking in an airport recently and someone stopped him, asked about it and said “Boy I would really like a Hat Like That”
So my old man pulled it off his head and handed it to them.
Then he told me to make him another one. -
So I made a few.
and now you can buy one.
And someone can tell you how good you look in that hat.

He just likes to say that after things he thinks is important.
