Grenache was the Verital that moved us from being a Single Verital Vineyard. We had a Frezze come through the Windmill Ranch Vineyard and we chose to cut all of those vines to the ground and graft them to another verital to diversify. It was our first step in a very long journey. Without that fateful Freeze that caused us to lose over a third of our fruit in one night we may have never ventured into another Verital.
